Computer WorkGroup Training

GoLive Courses

Adobe GoLive is a powerful environment for creating and maintaining web sites and pages. It produces very clean HTML, as well as providing tools that range from conceptual design of a site, through day to day building, and collaboration in a multi-developer workgroup.

Tight integration with other Adobe products allows a workflow that does not require reworking of print quality images, and allows the leveraging of existing Photoshop and Illustrator skills.

Introductory Workshop

The introductory workshop covers the creation of simple web site, including the production of HTML pages, the incorporation and optimisation of images, and uploading of the site to a web server. After the course participants will be capable of deploying a professional looking web site.

Advanced Workshop

The advanced workshop covers the creation of more sophisticated web sites, including the use of Cascading Style Sheets, reusing site assets for better consistency and efficiency, designing smarter with GoLives advanced features and adding external elements.

Cascading Style Sheets

Cascading Stylesheets provide a method to better control how web pages appear in a browser, as well as control consistency and ease of updating of a web site.

This half day module covers the use of cascading style sheets within GoLive. As well as the inbuilt features, extensions to the CSS are highlighted.

Diagramming in GoLive

This workshop utilises the diagramming features of GoLive to design the structure of a web site, before actually building the site. This allows for the conceptual presentation of a site and its its navigation system to clients and managers.

These diagrams can then be used to create the actual web pages.

Preparing Web Graphics

This workshop covers the preparation of graphics for web pages through Photoshop, Illustrator and LiveMotion. It covers the integration of these into a Golive web site.
